About Us

Naked Art Gallery's colorful walls and untypical approach to art has caught the attention of many publications, including The New York Times, Eccentric America and the Rand McNally atlas. We get visitors from all over the world in our gallery, but until your next visit, take a quick peek in this 360 degree Google tour.

Over 70 "not-yet-famous" artists share space at Naked Art. For nearly 20 years great artists have shown at this unique gallery, focusing on functional art, wearable creations and art made with recycled materials. We call it "art for the people" and strive to bring pieces that are within everyone's budget. We strongly believe that everyone can become a collector and find a place for a little art in their lives.

The name "Naked Art" was chosen because we want you to appreciate the artists' work with the "naked eye." No raised brows here!

Whether you live in Birmingham or are only here for a visit, Naked Art makes a great stop as part of a weekend escape around the Magic City!

Naked Art Gallery is located in Forest Park, a fun neighborhood
located just minutes from downtown and around the corner from Avondale.
Yes you can walk here from Avondale, or use the awesome Zyp bike share.

There is a Zyp bike station right across the street from the gallery,
and cost only $6 a day to ride all over the Birmingham metro area!

Wearable art is in the house! Jewelry, clothing and accessories,
all hand made by artists, 95% locally.

It is a great feeling to buy art!

Every Third Friday, the Forest Park merchants host an open house featuring cocktails, sales, specials, live music and the "TOUR DE LOO":
which turns each establishment's restroom into an art installation by local artists.
A judge attributes $200 to the best installation. Sponsored by Silvertron Café!
